Olympic Opening Ceremony Features Most Awesome Fireworks, Lang Lang Outfit Ever

Hey, the opening ceremony has already happened! Though they won't be broadcast on NBC until tonight, the ceremonies apparently were a shattering success. NBC is pulling down YouTube clips left hand and veracious, but we found some on a international picture sites. The Zhang Yimou�directed ceremony featured some of the scariest goddamned fireworks we experience ever seen (at 3:10, supra). And, as anticipated, Liberace-esque Chinese pianist Lang Lang performed, eroding, wire photos suggest, his silliest outfit ever. Our inner 12-year-old boy � and our inner 65-year-old woman � are wholly excited to watch this.

Jessica Simpson's pregnancy boo-boo

Pop star Jessica Simpson mistakenly told her swain Tony Romo�s family she was pregnant.

The singer is reportedly desperate to hold a baby with her American football player swain and was delighted when a home pregnancy test revealed she was expecting a child.

The couple were so excited by the news they immediately distinct to tell Tony�s fellowship, and were shocked by their savage reaction.

A source said: �There was a huge combat on July 18 at the Romo home. Jessica and Tony thought she was significant and happily announced it to the family.

�The news show resulted in dead secretiveness. Then Tony�s dad Ramiro said, �You�re not married. This is crazy!� Tony�s mommy Joan coupled in, demanding, �How throne you do this to us?��

Jessica, 28, is said to receive been devastated at the family�s reply, especially as she was later forced to allow she had made a mistake subsequently allegedly misreading the test.

The singer�s younger sister Ashlee, 23, proclaimed she is expecting a child with her husband Pete Wentz earlier this year, and the news has made Jessica want a nestling even more.

A source added to the National Enquirer magazine: �Her friends know she�s feverishly trying to conceive.�

'Indy' Star Injured In Crash, Busted for DUI

LaBeouf was the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a 3 a.m. collision in Hollywood, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Wolf said.

"It was immediately evident to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was drunk and he was after placed under arrest," Wolf said.

LaBeouf was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries to his head, left hand and knee, Wolf said. A female passenger in LaBeouf's car and the number one wood of the other vehicle were non seriously injured.

Wolf said LaBeouf, 22, was booked for a misdemeanour DUI and released.

Wolf did not know the identities of LeBeouf's passenger or the early driver.

The accident occurred when LaBeouf tested to make a left turn, Wolf said. A collision occurred and LaBeouf's car trilled over. The cause of the crash remained under investigation, and Wolf did not experience additional details.

LaBeouf has been working as an histrion for 10 years. He starred on the Disney Channel serial publication "Even Stevens," starred in last year's "Transformers," and this year appears opposite Harrison Ford in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

LaBeouf has had previous brushes with the law, only each was relatively harmless � to the point that they reinforced his image as a Hollywood good-guy with an edge.

In November, he was charged with infringement criminal encroaching after a drunken broadside in a Chicago Walgreens.

He later told David Letterman on the "Late Show": "Drinking and driving is one thing, but imbibing and shopping ... it's precisely as bad."

Prosecutors dropped charges because Walgreens Co. and a security company indicated they didn't want to continue the case.

Two of LaBeouf's publicists did not immediately return calls seeking comment Sunday. Neither did two attorneys who have got previously represented LaBeouf.

Amy Winehouse angered fans in Portugal after turning up an hour late for her first live performance of 2008.

The troubled singer was meant to make a stunning live return at the Rock In Rio concert, but kept eager fans waiting, and then admitted that she “should have cancelled” her set.

Having spent the duration of her performance sucking on throat lozenges, Amy admitted she was suffering from flu-like symptoms. She also clumsily dropped her microphone twice.

The star apologised to fans for her illness, telling fans: "My voice is not singing right and I can't even hold the microphone. But I wanted to be here so much."

And the 24-year-old didn't miss the opportunity to laugh off claims she is heading for a divorce from incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil, telling the crowd he was "still the handsomest bloke you ever seen in your life".

A poll the radio station website suggests Jessica�s foray into country music is being well received. Over 61% of 93,718 listeners thought the song was good.

Jessica�s last pop album, Public Affair (2006), slid off the charts very quickly after making it to the Top 20.

Jessica�s father, Joe Simpson, is confident about her move to country music..





�She's a singer from top to bottom," Joe Simpson told People. "And everything in the music business, especially pop music, has moved away from singers. And I think country is the only pure, storytelling kind of genre left.�

Joe has no apprehensions about his daughter not being welcomed by country fans, since she is simply moving back to her Texas roots.

�She's from Texas. How could she not [be accepted]?� he asks.
